Spov (Selected Post View)

Spov is an experimental web application which highlights selected social media posts. Hereby "selected" means that these posts have to fulfill certain requirements. The current application of spov is to display fediverse posts which

• (1) are part of a tree (often also called "thread") specified by a given root node (original post),
• (2) contain a specified string (e.g. a hashtag) ,
• (3) have an author which is followed by a specified account (not yet implemented).

The intended use case is to facilitate constructive debates by only displaying those posts which comply with certain rules. The whole concept is described at https://kddk.eu/selbstverpflichtung (currently in German only).

Apart from that specific scenario Spov might also be useful just to render the reply graph of (complex) discussions and highlight posts containing specific words or hashtags. By the way: the highlight can also be applied to author names. And there is a regex-mode, which e.g. allows to trigger highlight by multiple strings.
